Favorite Tiz the Bomb and Brian Hernandez Jr. circled the field on the second turn and kicked clear in the stretch to win the Grade 3, $600,000 Jeff Ruby Steaks at Turfway Park.

Tiz the Bomb stopped the clock in 1:48.60 for 1 1/8 miles on the synthetic track to earn 100 Kentucky Derby qualifying points for trainer Kenny McPeek.

Tawny Port for trainer Brad Cox was second to earn 40 Derby points, which could be enough to qualify for the Derby. Rick Strike was next (20 points) followed by Dowagiac Chief (10). 

By Hit it a Bomb, Tiz the Bomb entered off a neck victory in the John Battaglia Memorial on March 5 at Turfway Park.
