DC's Violet Lantern rings choose those who've experienced great love. There are plenty of characters in the Marvel Universe who'd be worthy.

The Star Sapphire villain was reinvented along with Green Lantern during DC Comics' Silver Age. Carol Ferris became the Star Sapphire, wielding a power gifted to her by aliens known as Zamarons. During Geoff Johns's legendary run on Green Lantern, the Zamarons followed in the footsteps of the Guardians of the Universe, creating a Lantern Corps of their own.

The Star Sapphire gems were transformed into Violet Lantern rings that sought worthy users, just like Green Lantern rings. However, violet power rings don't look for those who can overcome great fear. Instead, they choose those who have experienced great love. If these rings were to cross over into the Marvel Comics universe, they'd seek those who love others or have received love.

Charles Xavier believes mutants and humans can co-exist peacefully, which is why he created the X-Men and invited mutant kids to his school to learn how to use their powers. Xavier loves mutantkind in general, but more specifically, he loves his family.

He protected them from the forces of Magento and the Brotherhood of Mutants, and some of them protected him to the bitter end in Avengers vs. X-Men. In the new "Dawn of X" era, Xavier becomes worthy of a Star Sapphire ring. Not only does he love his mutants, but he's also willing to alter history and manipulate minds to save them.

Rogue has a powerful mutation that comes with one major drawback: she can temporarily absorb other mutants' powers, and this touch leaves them weakened. Despite her "touch of death," Rogue has experienced many romantic relationships over the years with other popular mutants.

For a time, Rogue was able to touch Magneto without harming him. The two developed a relationship after working together in the Savage Land. Rogue ultimately married Gambit in X-Men: Gold #30 after the two shared an on-again/off-again relationship for years. Rogue is a charming, lovable hero who could definitely wield a Star Sapphire ring, especially after the Zamarons learn she can become even more powerful.

Spider-Man's rogues' gallery proves that just having superpowers doesn't make someone a hero. When Doctor Octopus gained four mechanical arms, he tried to change the world with dangerous experiments. When Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider, he tried to win money.

After Uncle Ben's death, the lessons of power and responsibility led him to become Spider-Man. While Uncle Ben may have sparked Peter's heroism, Aunt May maintains it. May's love and support drive Peter and remind him the people in his life are more important than wealth or fame. Her tombstone in the comics proves she deserves a violet ring: "She taught us love."

Debuting in Avengers #57, the Vision was an advanced android created by Ultron to destroy the Avengers. However, Vision evolved beyond his base programing and realized Ultron was an evil creature. Since then, he's been one of the most powerful members of the Avengers.

His entry into the Avengers introduced him to Scarlet Witch, and the two developed one of Marvel's most unlikely romances. Despite being primarily comprised of artificial intelligence, Vision found love with Wanda. Vision even started his own family in his solo series written by Tom King. Any "robot" that can find love is certainly deserving of a Star Sapphire ring.

After Bruce Banner was exposed to dangerous levels of gamma radiation, he'd uncontrollably transform into the Incredible Hulk when angered. The Hulk is fueled by rage, making him a perfect candidate for the Red Lanterns of rage. However, the Hulk's anger can be diminished by Betty Ross, the woman Bruce loves.

Before becoming the Red She-Hulk, Betty acted as Bruce's lightning rod, grounding him to reality. This allowed him to reclaim his body from the Hulk when things became chaotic. Betty and Bruce's love was enough to stop the Hulk in his tracks, making her more than worthy of a violet power ring.

Silver Sable is an extremely skilled fighter and marksman in the Marvel Comics universe. She leads the Wild Pack and her own Silver Sable International organization on global missions, all of which involve pursuing war criminals and protecting her homeland, Symkaria, from foreign threats.

Silver Sable isn't a character who expresses love often, but she doesn't hide her love for Symkaria. This is proven when Spider-Man helped her free her home from Norman Osborn's rule during the "Worldwide" arc. Her love extends beyond one person and reaches all the Symkarians who depend on her. As a result, Sable is definitely strong enough to overcome the Star Sapphires' corrupting effects.

Alison Blaire debuted as the Dazzler in Uncanny X-Men #130 in 1980. Her mutant powers never allowed her to become a frontline fighter in the X-Men, but they did allow her to put on a fantastic show. Dazzler can convert sound into light and create a dazzling array of fireworks and light rays.

Dazzler used her powers to become one of Marvel Comics' most popular musicians and entertainers. When she's not traveling to Limbo with Magik or siding with Cyclops during "Schism," Dazzler is beloved by her fans, both mutant and human, and this earns her a Violet Lantern ring of love.

Miles Warren was a professor at Empire State University when he met Gwen Stacy. Miles developed a creepy fascination with Gwen, and after she died during "Turning Point," he cloned her and Spider-Man. The Jackal used these clones to torment Peter Parker for years.

The Jackal created many clones of Gwen and himself, and a clone of Miles and Gwen actually fell in love and attempted to live a secret life together. The Star Sapphires are powered by love, but they often warp love itself to gain more power. The Jackal would be a fitting member of the Sapphires due to his manipulation of others and his warped idea of what love actually is.

Created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, Marvel's Enchantress first appeared in Journey into Mystery #103 as Thor's villain. Enchantress is an Asgardian magic user and one of Thor's most dangerous foes, not because of her raw power, but because of her ability to manipulate others.

Enchantress lives up to her name, enchanting others and bending them to her will with magic. The Zamarons use love because they believe it's the universe's strongest, most passionate emotion. The Star Sapphires are driven by love, and they control others through love as well, making Enchantress the perfect Marvel character to receive a violet power ring.

Created by Chris Claremont and John Byrne, Emma Frost, otherwise known as the White Queen, is a high-ranking member of the Hellfire Club – the organization that warped Jean Grey's mind while she possessed the Phoenix Force. Emma Frost lives up to her name as a ruthless, cold villain.

Emma was a main member of the team during Grant Morrison's X-Men run, and she helped Cyclops recruit new mutants in Brian Michael Bendis's Uncanny X-Men series. She expects love and loyalty from those who follow her, and although she may not love many things, her manipulation of Scott's mind and heart qualify her candidacy for the Star Sapphires.
